This one is meant  for small game animals such as bunnies and skwerls, although it would be timely for  any game animal.

What are your thoughts ?

well,  colorado squill hunting is almost nonexistent but we do have some bunnies.  I typically aim for a head shot.  Shots are usually 3 to 10 yards.  It makes for a humane kill and 100% edible.

Down here small game means scorpions.... I’m a big fan of quartering away shots on them, and penetration is critical

Head shots for tree rats and bunnies.  This way you don't wound one, it's a kill shot or a miss.  Frank

I agree with the head shots, especially on squirrels.  Pound for pound, they have to be some of the toughest critters on earth!

The head shot is ideal, but a chest shot will do the job too.  Since almost all of the meat on a Wyoming cottontail is on the hind quarter and the backstrap, you don't really lose anything by taking them through the chest, and it's a bigger target.

I am not a small game hunter and have only taken one squirrel. Not a pleasant experience at all. I was a kid and didn't really know what I was doing. I hit it right behind the shoulder with a field point. The wooden arrow protruded from both sides. He chewed up one side and then chewed down the other. Based on this, I would go with head shots.
