(this is way overdue.)

the great thing about this hunt was getting with all these great guys. I haven't hunted in a camp setting very much. Normally by myself. But here are some pics of the hunt and the events that followed.  IMG_4614_1.jpg  first up is bull winkle. mike darred me to get closer to this fine looking moose but i was not feeling that adventurous.  he was present quite a bit. IMG_4657_1.jpg IMG_4601_1.jpg
IMG_4602_1.jpg
IMG_4604_1.jpg IMG_4607_1.jpg
IMG_4608_1.jpg

now this group of photos is one of many days we spent doing silly shots.  have too say i missed quiet a bit of the fun but still mike , chuck and mr dailey who had joined us made this a very intriguing outing. also I don't care what mike says about his shooting. n this last picture you can see what his usual accuracy is. be careful how many wise cracks you make at him. lol

chuck was a character in himself here you see the great hunter with his gear ready to fell an elk. after convincing him not to shoot me for taking a pic of his bad side.

IMG_4650_1.jpg

finally we have Kent. he couldn't stay the full time but we had a blast with him. so much fun in fact that he withdrew to take a nap!

IMG_4585_1.jpg
he was often in that hammock. Don't tell him i said so!! lol well to be fair. there was a point where I stood up to make the trek into the hills. About just fell onto the ground right there. a very taxing trip but never a dull moment with these guys. i look forward to doing it again.

Tim is referring to my seeming lack of shooting AT CRITTERS...well deserved I guess. The old target panic issues are still haunting me, but in different ways.

I promise...I will work on it.

Hey fellas, already looking at maps for next year's hunt. I'm feeling the elk itch! If you've got a GPS or mapping software on your computer, look up LAT 40,39'30" LONG110,29'30"...it's called Swasey Hole...on my list of scouting locations...let me know what you think. It's a little higher in elevation and it's a bowl with water and vegetation...smells like elk.

Guess I'm lucky to not have any brothers![smile]

Does Utah have a GIS type of hunting atlas?
