I really have been enjoying the great topics that Ira Blair has been sharing with us from the Hugh Rich collection.  And, I also want to acknowledge how much that this means to me (I guess I'm a bit of a history nut).  So...thank you to Ira's serving of photos and other archery related stuff from the past on a regular bases.  And thank you again, Ira, for enriching my enjoyment on this great archery site!

Now it's my turn to share something by Hugh Rich from April 1988: [smile]

Hi Fred,
Ira Blair spent all of last Sat. (23rd) with me.  He is a joy to be around, as he has a mind like a steel trap.  He knows where everything is in the storage area (much storage) --- he can go straight to shelves or boxes that he last saw 7 or 8 years ago etc. etc.

I'll proudly second that Fred.   You and Ira have brought much needed history to our sport in words and pictures.  Nothing beats being schooled by good Historians.

Fred, it's not often I'm at a total loss for words. The quick comeback, the humorous quip, the slightly irreverent reply, etc. This is one of those times.

I am humbled.

THANK YOU!

Fred,

Just recently I was thinking about Ira and his contributions to TAS and our members. Over the past few years, Ira Blair has been sharing his very own in-depth knowledge of archery combined with Hugh Rich’s collection. His contribution to TAS and the history of our sport is golden! Kudos to Ira Blair!
