My wife just decided she wants to take a trip to Custer, SD for a week or so this fall and told me I could hunt while we are out there.  In talking to SD Game & Fish, I learned that since I am purchasing a tag after April 1st, as a non-resident, I am only allowed to hunt private land.  So... I am wondering if anyone has contacts for some land owners near Custer that would allow me to bow hunt on their land?  I am happy to pay a fee if needed.  It sounded like there were some ranchers out there that allow limited hunters to pay for hunting access to their land but I have not been able to find any in my search...
We are planning to go out there in Early Oct sometime.  If anyone has any contacts, please let me know
Thanks!

Most of the Black Hills is National Forest. Why can’t you hunt there?

SD game and fish had a new regulation this year that if you didn't apply/purchase your tag prior to April 1st, that you are restricted to private land only. We were not planning this trip until a few days ago and when I called the SD G & F this morning I was informed of the new rule
