Several months ago I got two new bows, an Oak Ridge Ash hybrid longbow and a Galaxy Ember hybrid longbow.
Since then I've had a chance to shoot them at the range, several times, with different arrows, and I'd like to change my opinions somewhat.
With the right arrow, the Oak Ridge Ash longbow is a good shooter.  It is a darn good bow, for the price.  I'm really pretty happy with it.  It's what I usually take to the range.
The Galaxy Ember shoots pretty good too, but it is very noisy.  I'm not sure I could recommend this for hunting.  No offense to anyone that bought one of these for hunting, but for $200, I'd buy the Oak Ridge instead.  The Oak Ridge shoots as well or better is lighter and quieter.

Hmmm, I hunt with my Galaxy Embers (have 2 I like them so much and three sets of limbs).  I haven't had any noise issues. I think the Galaxy riser fits my hand better than any custom I ever bought. Sometimes we just hit things right and this bow just clicks for me and my more expensive bows mostly sit on the rack.

The noisy galaxy might need some sort of padded on the riser's limb bed

Doesn't the Oak Ridge ash longbow come with a B-50 Dacron string? Put a B-50 or B-55 string on the Galaxy Ember & see how quiet it is then.
