Finally have a new Whisper back on the rack after selling my previous one (62", #51@26) back in October. This one is 62", #49@28, takedown. Same woods and "accoutrements" as my 66", #52@28, Sprague takedown. As always, Steve's craftsmanship is superb. Took the first shots with it this morning and it looks like it will work out just fine. Still have to get the nock point set and settle into the right arrows, but the 3 I grapped this morning seem pretty close (27", 42-44#, 125gr points) at 15 yards with my barely 26" draw.

Very nice looking bow. How does it shoot compared to the Sprague?

Haven't had a chance to put them both through the chronograph, but there is no noticeable difference in draw (no stack) or hand-shock (basically none) and at 18 yards they both put the same arrows in the same place.  That is what I was hoping to achieve.  If I was more technical and put together a draw-force curve of some kind, I'd say the extra 4" length in the Sprague (66", #52) would probably offset the extra 4# in draw weight and the greater backset when compared to the less backset Whisper (62", #49).  All I know is I love the way they both shoot.

10-4 brother. Wasn’t wondering so much about speed and technical but you answered with what I was wondering.
