I want to put a new wrap on my Martin ML-14. Does anyone have any advice?

I thought about one of those diamond-cut inlaid leather pieces.

Thanks folks

Here are the before and after pictures. Since I have an excess of leather, I might change it again. I used artificial sinew to sew it together. Next time I will either use some doubled up real sinew or leather lace. I just think the single strand is not wide enough. The seam is not 100% centered on the back of the bow, and I don't like that. And lastly, when I grip the bow, there is a tiny space between the riser and the upper most part of the leather. I do like the color.  Chuck, you were with your advice, "Go slow" which I didn't do because I was too excited to git er dun. Next time, it will be done right.  IMG_20200123_093943657.jpg  IMG_20200127_171147998.jpg  IMG_20200127_171126823.jpg

Looks good anyway. More ideas... I like to use doubled B50 for the color. Experiment with sewing patterns. Get it personalized.. thank you for sharing.

Looks good.   Your stitches are clean and uniform.  Maybe punch smaller holes?  I'm guessing you are stitching without needles and finding the larger holes better to work with.

Longcruise I thought the exact same thing about the size of the holes after I was done. I was using two curved needles and it was like the proverbial throwing a hotdog down a hallway. lol Next time I'll make smaller holes or slits. I had a leather hole puncher here some place but I couldn't find it.

Chuck, I never thought of using B50. I have so many colors. I'll try that. I see there are several you tube videos that show different patterns. Now I am on a quest. I have the supplies and several older bows that are in need of new wraps.

Thanks fellas for the advice.
