So, it looks like I’ll be character building for the next 6 months. I’ll have to work on containing my excitement, and controlling my bragging rights. Steve will do his best to get me my new Baraga for next season.
62”, 53#-54#@28”, gloss finish, with a wood and limb selection that will be stunning!

I’ve been putting this off much too long. I’ve probably owned more D/R bows than any other style. My first one was in 1985. It was a Heritage Archery, Bridger Mountain Longbow named Sacajawea made by Rocky Miller. That’s where my love affair with them started. I’m not going to divulge the color combination yet, but I took the inspiration from one of the prettiest bows I’ve ever had made by Fred Anderson.

So, I know you put a lot of thought in your decision, how did you settle on the Baraga?

Tim, the Baraga has been around for a long time.  If it ain't broke don't fix it.  No one can argue on the build quality that Steve puts into everything he creates.  I read lots of past and present reviews on the bow, and stability and speed, and quietness were 3 words that were present in just about every review. I talked with several people on other trad sites, who have Baragas, or regretted selling the one they used to have.   A lot of people just don't like that design in a bow, but I like it.  I've been through the carbon limb phase (just don't like them), and been through the non forgiving riser shapes.  The Baraga had all my pros, and no cons.  My decision was easy for me.
