Got the E-mail my new Union Jack was ready. We drove to Marion Michigan to pick it up. I talked with Jim and Georgia at the Ka-zoo bow expo, I explained my shoulder issue and they made their recommendation, A 66" long 40 @28 Union Jack with a myrtle riser and yew limbs. I told them I wanted white glass on the belly and brown glass on the back. I also wanted the grip to be like my old Tom, with gold raw hide.
We arrived at Bivouac Bows after an 1.5 hour drive, walked in and thought what a nice shop. We were greeted by Georgia and Jim.  Georgia then presented me with the bow. WOW, what a beauty. The finish was silky smooth and the craftsmanship was second too none. We shot with them in the shop and they were like shooting with old friends.
I couldn't believe how smooth, quick and quiet it was.
At home I shot an Easton 1916 weighing 485grs @ 159fps on avg. and best of all, NO shoulder pain. THANK YOU Jim and Georgia at Bivouac Bows.
These pictures don't do it justice. IMG_20200325_170951227.jpg  IMG_20200325_171024444.jpg  IMG_20200325_171101162.jpg  IMG_20200325_171146671.jpg  IMG_20200325_171307638.jpg

Hello Louied,  I don't know what they put in there but Georgia said she would put in an accent to give it a nicer look.  You could call them and I'm sure they'll tell you.  They are great people to deal with and very knowledgeable.  I love the way it shoots and it's very quick for a 40 pounder.  I would have no problem ordering another bow from them.

Jim Belcher said it would be roughly 5 weeks and that's what it was. I couldn't be happier.  A very short wait time in comparison to other bowyers I've talked too.
