Not sure of the spelling but you get it. I'm considering trying some of these... sure ain't gonna buy a gross or anything. I tried them way back when but had some trouble with them. Like a lot of things I want to give it another try.

Anyone know where I can buy some.  Prefer 5/16" red or black.

For what it's worth, I find it interesting that Howard Hill liked them so much and yet John Schulz seems to prefer speed nocks... I really don't like speed nocks. Used them forever back in the day with no problems but after shooting snap style nocks for a few years I went back to them and experienced one dry fire after another.

Alrighty then. I found them on Amazon. Limited colors in the 5/16 size I want (gray). They are listed as the Stotler Mid Nock.

Charles, if I remember correctly, they had very shallow throats and were prone to breaking. I know that I've tried them, but can't remember why I stopped using them. That was about the time the Nirk nocks got popular and we all gravitated in that direction...

I tried them years ago. I didn’t like the shallow throats either. Don’t recall any breaking but I was shooting 64# only.

Thanks all for the help.  The shallow nocks is what I remember about them and trying to keep them on the string. Maybe something has changed... me or them.

The mid nock that Stotler makes has a tapered throat so the farther you pull them onto the string the tighter it gets, If your using a skinny string there fine but a B50 there too tight. Charlie: I have several colors if you want to try some in 5/16"
It is not the same mid nock that Howard used just a poor copy.

Black or yellow?  How much? I think I can find out all I need to know with a half dozen.
