Hey gang....I just want to give Mike Mecredy at Maddog Archery a shout out on a job well done on my new 60" Prairie Predator longbow. Bubinga riser, Red Elm cores under Black Glass...54 lbs at 28" and boy does she scream an arrow. This bow not only shoots like a dream and is scary fast but also is extremely accurate for such a short "longbow"....She shoots better than some longbows 6" longer !!!  Check out his website below. You won't believe how inexpensive these awesome bows are. The lead time says 8-10 weeks on the website but I got mine in 6 weeks !

Funny, I was just talking with a friend the other night about Maddog bows, which is located here in my home state. My buddy is considering a new longbow, and Mike's prices are very reasonable, esp. given the good reviews they seem to get. Turn-around time is impressive too!

Let's see some pics of that new bow!

I checked Craigslist the other day and found a used Prairie Predator longbow 57" 37#@28".

After doing some research, and finding out about Maddog archery and Mike Mecredy of same, then doing some review research, I decided to meet the seller and check out the bow. My total travel to and from where I met the seller was about 80 miles, but I bought a beautiful bow for only $160 today.

Tomorrow it is expected to rain, so I'll have the opportunity to re-do the center serving, and then the  bow'll be ready for a workout at the range on Thursday, weather permitting.

I expect to be thrilled, especially with this being my first longbow (all others being recurves). The last time I was thrilled was...oh, never mind, that's a different forum.
