I really like the right wing Bitzenburger fletching jigs but I have always had trouble with the  Bitzenburger left wing jigs.  I'm wanting to convert my left wing jigs to right wing and buy a new left wing fletching jig.  Can someone recommend a good left wing fletching jig.

Hi James.  Yes I have the left wing clamp and index.  Are you able to fletch 11/32" or 23/64" wood arrows.  When I try, the clamp hits the wood in the center of the clamp and I battle getting the front and back of the feather to make good contact.

Gordon, I fletch 1/4, 5/16, 11/32, & 23/64 on my left wing Bitz with no problems. Maybe your clamp has a problem.

You might also check the offset adjustment.

Have you tried the allen key adjustments?  I have 6 LW Bitz's and like OS, I have no problems with any size arrow shafts or alignment.

Thanks everyone for the replys. I have tried to adjust the clamps over the years every way possible, l think. If I shot shorter feathers, I don't think I would be having so much trouble. Here are some pictures of my Bits, maybe someone can see what I'm doing wrong. Also a picture of the finished arrow that has almost no feather twist which is the only way I have been able to get the feather on the arrow. Thanks

I think Kent is correct, from the photo's you posted, it looks like your trying to put WAY too much offset in the clamp. Let the clamp provide the helical. The first jig on the right, why is there such a large gap at the top end, even with a feather in the clamp they should almost be touching.

adjust the little wheelie ofset things at the top N bottom

think trying to wrap the arrow too much?

the bare paw is really sensitive to that on skinny arrows

but the Bitz will contact in the middle only if try too much
