Arhery Past ( TAS Sponsor) has Traditional leather rests.  I just picked up a couple of spares myself.

Agree with Yehwa, really don't need anything. Get some wear but that is classy mojo, showing a well shot bow

Same for the strike plate? Necessary?

Again agree need nothing. And if your arrow is reasonably tunned you get instant feedback on your release. Good release nice quiet arrow, bad release a tick or worse from arrow striking bow.

Get yourself an old leather wallet-- plenty of thin leather in there...

Agree with those that say no plate or shelf leather needed.  However, I have found that a good coat of Minwax finishing paste wax on the shelf and strike plate area makes it slick and protects the bow.  If you shoot woodies, wax those too.  Just apply liberally, wait 20 min and then buff to a high gloss slick finish.  Seems to quiet the arrow on the shot as well.  I love Minwax finishing paste wax.
