Spoke with Tim Finley of Kota Bows today and ordered a Prairie Swift one piece recurve.  Been thinking about a new one piece but shopping around showed how much bowyers have raised their prices.  Tim's prices are very reasonable.  I own a Kota Kill-um and have had a few over the years so I know Tim's work ethic and the quality of his bows.  So I pulled the trigger on the Prairie Swift.  Should be ready for Christmas.  He explained that many folks have ordered bows since the Stimulus Checks.

I actually left the wood choices up to him.  I was thinking Ebony for the riser.  He suggested Ebony and Shedua for the riser.  The limbs will be Mango veneers with Bamboo cores under clear glass.  It sounded good so I agreed.  It will be a 60"er and 45#@28".  The deposit goes out tomorrow.  Frank

Yes Frank a fine bowyer indeed.  I've met him several times at Denton Hill and we jawed for hours.  He told me something sad.  He said all his friends have passed away and he has no one to make the trip with.  Long trip from N. Dakota and no one in the booth with him.  The last time I saw him was the last time he went to Denton.  Frank
