Just got back from the Kalamazoo expo.  Looked like a great turnout.  I looked at and handled a lot of bows.  Lots of familiar faces and a few new.  Seems like everyone looks older except me. [smile]  I love going through all the historical items that are on display.  I was most impressed by the John Lee collection of Schulz bows.  Handled several and was amazed at the craftsmanship built into each one. You can tell John loved what he was doing. The lines and curves flowed amazingly smooth and graceful. Nothing looked like it was done in a hurry.  Hurts my feeling to know that he isn't making more.  If I ever come across one that fits me you can be sure that I will snatch it up.

Living in Kalamazoo makes it easy to go. Send more time looking over the old goodies vs new every year. Talked to Steve from Northern Mist. He is loving the cold weather ha ha. Picked up a 1st edition of Lions In The Path, by Stewart E. White.

I went up Friday. I finally found the last issue of longbow/traditional archery digest to complete my set. It’s always nice to visit with Steve and Dixie at the show. I got to shoot the Sprague and I was quite impressed by it. I haven’t missed too many expos in the last 10 years. Always a good time

It was a well attended event this year. I spent a lot of time at the Northern Mist Booth.  Picked up a very nice Ramer, I am really falling in love with Hill style bows. I will probably be placing an order for a Classic, American and Sprague.

Always a great time. I always enjoy shooting bows and meeting new people. As I was checking out the used bows, one in particular caught my eye. An almost new Northern Mist Shelton.68"45#@28. I had to shoot it. My four arrows were touching each other. It came home with me. If you ever get the chance to shoot a string follow bow......do it.

I hadn't been there in seven years. Couple friends asked me to ride along with them, and then I got a text from Scott Mitchell asking if I was going to be there, and to come by and see him. So I went, had a great time, dropped in to see Scott, and ended up buying one of his Talon Premier recurves.
