I enjoy seeing how the people dress with a little more class than today.
Nothing against how people dress today since I'm not high class myself.😁

I love how some of those real old photos have bows that appear to be 7 feet long +.  Any  input on that.

I can fill you in on that. Some archers were interested in other sports. One of them was pole vaulting. Why have a separate bow and pole vaulting pole when you can combine the two? This was more popular than you might think. There were also a number of archer/pole vaulters involved in javelin throwing.

Hope that clears up everything.

I'm not sure, but is the first one "Gulliver" shooting one of the "Islander's"( can't spell Lilliputitian's) bows?

Mart and Beda Mathew... thanks Jim!  Mart was the guy who made Drake bows (and some FASCOs too), and he was a wonderful shooter on the field range or flight shooting field.  Beda had perfect form and won many archery shoots (I've never seen a woman with better shooting form!).

She may be using an Eicholtz Bow-Lock with holes drilled in the end for a lanyard.
