Here’s a video that I’m sure we’ve all seen a million times. When I started shooting a Hill longbow I bought this video on VHS tape and would study Howard’s form. I bet I wasn’t the only one to do that. How many of you watched Howard’s videos to study his form?

I'll admit I'm not good enough to shoot skeet with a bow.

Chuckc, I don't think anyone could replicate what Howard did no matter what form they used, I have several of Howards VHS videos that I almost wore the
image off of them trying to figure out what he was doing different, I'm 72 and haven't figured it out yet.Ha!Ha!

I have never seen anyone shoot that many times so quickly and hit everyone of the coins, he shot as fast as he could nock another arrow.

I ordered the new book that Jerry Hill put on the market a couple days ago it will be interesting to see what Howard wrote.

By the way Chuckc I will never get tired of watching Mr. Hill shoot....Thank you for the post.

Why was Howard shooting left handed in that video at the end and thanks, that is the first time I have ever seen Howard without a mustache.

That video was awesome. He was truly a one of a kind!

Regarding the left-handed shot at the end... I bet the film ribbon was accidentally reversed during the splicing making him appear to shoot left handed.

Happy Birthday Howard!

The 1st Howard Hill film I saw was in the early 50's.  It was a matinee feature at the local movie theater.  I was 8 years old and hooked.  I had messed with bows made from branches and arrows made from privet stems but after seeing that short I just had to have a real bow and real arrows.  I've always thanked Howard Hill for giving me the desire.  Thanks again Howard!  Frank

It's called .....Howard Hill's method of shooting the bow and arrow.....by Jerry Hill

Red beard told me about it.

I just received it about an hour ago so I can't comment on it, but I will in a couple days if anyone is interested.

You can get it at Amazon.com for $30.00
It is a little high for what it is, but if the info is correct it will be worth it.

It's paper back about 1/2 inch thick

Also the print is large and clear for us older eyes.
