A bow, built up from a Galaxy Explorer 21" riser, has been on my wish list for quite a while.
I was attracted to it because it's shorter than the standard 25" and it's grip was part of the riser and not just bolted on.  It looked like it would feel more like a one piece bow.  And it was cheap.
So, when I decided to pull the trigger on a new bow, I didn't even look at other risers.  It arrived several days ago and it's everything I thought and more.  Really nice grip, nicely made and finished.  A real bargain.  The one big negative was that my favorite bolt on magnetic rest won't work with this riser, partly because the side of the riser is too thick.  I haven't gotten far enough to see if that affects how close to center shot it is.  I ordered a pretty nice stick-on magnetic rest.
While shopping for a second set of limbs (first set were higher poundage than I wanted) I decided to look at risers too and found an EXE Scream 19" riser on clearance.  On impulse, I ordered it.
So now I have both risers.  I think I still prefer the feel of the grip on the Galaxy, but I wish I'd just gotten the EXE in the first place.  It comes with several rest options: a slippery plastic shelf rest comes bolted on, but also included are hair rests, a plastic rest that screws into the plunger hole, and a stick on magnetic rest.  But the kicker is the magnetic rest I wanted to use with the Galaxy, fits great on the EXE.  It is designed for bare bow tournament shooting, with holes on the sides for weights.  I'll probably get one soon.
The first set of medium limbs I got were Carbon and bamboo and had some cosmetic damage from being mounted before.  Possibly a demo.  The poundage was more than I expected.  I've since heard, but not confirmed, that Win & Win measures poundage at 26".  The sticker on the limbs also seems to indicate that poundage goes up as the riser shortens.  Is this true?  Wish I'd known that before ordering limbs.  So I ordered a second set of Win & Win medium limbs of lower poundage.  This time some carbon/foam without a scratch on them.  Far better limbs than I deserve.
I needed a second set of lower poundage limbs, since I now had two risers, and this time I ordered long for the 19" EXE.  Unfortunately, these are a much lower quality that the Win & Win carbon/foam.
Getting everything set up and I'll probably shoot them this weekend or early next week.
Whew!! Didn't intend this to be so long.

I have the EXE riser. Good riser for the money. How you like shooting the new bow?
