Got a little blood on my Sunset Hill. Wind worse ever this year I believe. Could not get to my favorite spots because of wind so hunted draw around ranch house and outbuildings. Missed first, drilled second rabbit and missed third. Not my best shooting but hopefully next weekend I can add to the stew. For the first-time ever 7 hen turkeys have made their way up the creek to Jim and Cathys.

Funny you mention that Darren. So rabbit one, went through my new shot sequence just missed. #2 went through shot sequence and drilled him. Well #3 he was under an old Toyota and I nailed that frame twice before I realized I was in old mode, got self together just missed and he left the county 😁

Well done.  Rabbits and squirrels are not an easy target for me under any circumstances.  Good luck with the turkeys.

My first rabbit, squirrel, and swan mean more to me than my deer so far! Maybe it is because I have not killed a giant with my stick bow yet! But the smaller and more difficulty is involved makes it more of a trophy to me! Congrats!!!!

Congratulations on your hunt. Small game hunting with a bow is one of the most satisfying ways to hunt to me. Plus your getting great practice for big game hunting later.

I used to live in Cheyenne and rabbit hunted up by Curt Gowdy state park.
