That was what Don was working on perfecting when he passed away. If you want to do something interesting do a force draw curve on that bow.

  That's the 2nd one I've ever seen.

mojave, the name Lou Rangel on the bow is likely National Champion Lou, or Louie, Rangel. He won many tournaments and was Easton Aluminum's product development manager at their Salt Lake City facility. He showed Easton how to make arrow shafts from flat sheets of aluminum so they could keep all operations in house and wouldn't need to source tubing from an outside vendor. He was inducted to the California Archery Hall of Fame in 1990.

Here he is at the 1976 Fresno Safari Shoot. Louie, in the middle, won, and Gil Smith, right, was second and Gene Dameron, left, was third.

Ugly coyote that’s the same Louie. It’s his bow. Thanks for the picture I just sent it to him. Can’t wait for his response. I talked to him earlier today and the Fresno Safari shoot came up. What are the odds he’s going to love the picture. Thanks

mojave, I met Louie when he was visiting Hugh Rich in the late 1980's. That's when he told me about the arrow manufacturing process. He probably won't remember me. I believe I have a couple of other pics of him.

Just found one.

Another shot from the Safari Shoot.

Standing, l-r, Lou Rangel, Cal Vogt, Ben Rogers, Gene Dameron, Gil Smith and Dick Land. Kneeling, Bob Click and Dean McClellan.

Ugly coyote, send me your name and I’ll ask if he remembers you. Louie was long time friends with Hugh Rich and Don Brown. If your in Ca. Are going to the California state traditional shoot at Verdugo hills on February 9th? Louie will be there. Should be a great time.

mojave, my name is Ira Blair. Tell Lou I was the one helping Hugh Rich with his collection. Maybe that will jog his memory. I will consider going to the Verdugo Hills shoot.

Looks like it's a very steady bow to shoot.
