Man really???  I don't need permission to do anything and neither does my wife.  She went on 12 cruises last year to my one and it's fine with me.  I go on an out-of-state hunt and it's fine with her.  When we lived on Long Island I hunted every weekend and vacations.  We have a great relationship and love each other madly.  It would be ridiculous for either of us to even think about asking permission.  Frank

Not for me. She was opposed to me traveling out of state when we were younger, but it was a question of economics. We didn't make a lot of money in those days. Locally, there has always been great hunting readily available within a few minutes of the house (sometimes in the yard). All in all, I have been able to hunt pretty much as often as I wanted. Now I own a small tract and am retired, so I go when I please.

Only time my wife wasn’t happy about me traveling was when I went back to Viet Nam in 1997. I believe it was more about not knowing how I was doing. At that time phone or fax which was sketchy at best was only way to communicate.

Ha ha ha ha ha

Mrs. Badger's big struggle is my going out alone.  We live in griz country, and I like to hunt solo.  She's usually fine with me going out with the boys, as long as the chores get done, the trains run on time, and she gets to talk with me once in a while.  🙂

I always ask.   It's not about permission, it's about respect and (ahem) domestic bliss.  If I ever got a "no", well hmm.  I guess if she looked like that and had a sword to my neck, I'd be obliged to follow her orders 😎

I have a friend of mine that I’ve known for over 30 years, whenever there’s a tournament his wife has a room to paint. Lol.

Would have all the time in the world to paint the room while I was away?
