When I have one worthy of being "the bow" for what ever I might use it for, I may give it a name. This is going to have to be one that I know that fits me and shoots awesome for me. A bow that I had better keep for a very long time. Unfortunately, the one bow that fell into that catagory I traded off when I thought that I just had to step up in poundage. Still regret that move. At that time, I had called it Bad News, a sweet shooting longbow that I believe was 48#. I "upgraded to a 60 something # Quillian Gull. I should never had done it. To me, naming a bow is like making it part of the family and part of me. Still looking for another to name.

I have named one or two with a permanent name. I name all of them when I make a bod shot.

I named one of my board bows impostor. I really tried copying the asl design. Hence the name.

Like Sam....a bad shot just might earn that bow a multi word name, even if it was all my fault.

I have named several of my bows.

First one i made myself is named "pa's Billy club". If you saw it, you would know why.

Not all but some I do, and those I really do need to write their names on them.
