Gypsy,

The photos on Ebay didn't do this bow justice.  I was bidding on it and bowed out.  Mistake on my part!!!  Enjoy,  wish it was in my hands.  If you ever decide it doesn't fit yours let me know.

Shoot straight

Michael, I agree the photos didn’t do justice. I just crossed my fingers that it was just poor photography, and was unable to acquire additional images, and just threw in a really high bid and crossed my fingers.  I admit to some trepidation as I unpacked the bow and began to buff all the string wax that was all over the limbs and breathed a sigh of relief as it came clean and I realized that the black I thought the limbs were, was in fact a brown so dark as to approach being black. For a bow that may be approaching 40 yrs in age it was in super nice condition.
If I decide to sell at some future date, I’ll put it on the TAS site, but that may be some time away.
Best wishes to you,
John

John great to hear.  Always great to get that diamond in the rough.  I have to admit your high bid swayed me to concede.  Plus the fact the 50# draw, I was on the fence.  The majority of my bows are in the 60-70 # and and my lightest bow is a 53# John McCullough Griffin.  When I shoot a straight grip ASL bow my draw length shortens some.  So your Skookum would be in the high 40's.  I was really looking for a ASL in lower poundage to book end my Strunk "Spirit" LB but it's a thumper being 70 @ 28".  Anyway,  look forward hearing how it slings arrows.  Enjoy it!!!!

Take care and shoot straight'

Michael
