What wording can you not see?  I can't see any issue with it. I am not seeing any words on the wood background.

Dan, It keeps happening to me also, you need to clear your history completely to get rid of it...which will loose memory of the site, and you can then create a new 'path' into the site and save it. If you have a 'favorites' tab, or any shortcut to the site you need to get rid of it also
I have had to do that several times on all 3 devices I use to visit TAS. It just started when Darren did the new site...not sure why, but it fixes it temporarily.

Also not sure why it is happening to some and not all....maybe D is trying to tell us something??!!!

Well I've quit using my Apple phone because this site and only this site is brown background with white lettering and I simply can not read anything without blowing it up a lot.

I have issues with the small red or blue letters against the wood grain. I just saw "Quick Navigation" next to the Select a Category drop down menu for the first time.
The wood grain looks nice and gives the site a unique look, just gives me some reading issues.

I had the same issue for awhile. Don’t know what I did but it went away. I am an IPad user.

Yep.  Happened to me as well. After a couple of weeks, it shifted back to a white background.  I didn't intentionally do anything to try to change it.  I use an Apple desk top.

I had that for maybe a day, a long time ago. Not since. I use a water glass and a string...😉

Same thing happened on my iPad.  Took timkings advice and cleared the effect up. Clear your history.

I like the wood.  I'm on my computer though.  You'll have to take Tim's advice Dan.    Even if Darren changes the background color, the text will probably switch to something else.  There's a glitch somewhere.

The problem is the wood background is outdated and is not supported with the new software versions. You need to remember TAS is going on 7 years this August. The wood background is not offered anymore and the new backgrounds are solid colors. I haven’t had any issues but I know that when there is a problem like the one Dan mentioned clearing the cache or history fixes it.

My problem deals with an iPhone background is chocolate brown and words are black. Virtually impossible to see. It’s only on my iPhone and only this website. All the rest of websites are easily viewed and my iPad and desktop have a white background.
