Does anybody actually do this? And, if so, do you ever kill anything?

I have been manifestly unsuccessful finding rabbits in the brush up here in PA. And the neighbors frown on me shooting the ones that are plentiful in their front yards. Not sure I could hit a rabbit running in front of a beagle, but might be able to get a shot at one trying to escape a dog by sneaking out the back side of a brush pile. And I do notice that my dog gets the squirrels to sit up and start chattering, which makes them easier targets. Just never seem to have my bow with me when it happens.

Yep, Gordon has some videos on YouTube. Squirrel hunting in Oklahoma. Fun to watch.

Make sure you use "slow" beagles. Some are more robust and catch up with the rabbit. That pushes them and they run by. With a shotgun...good, with a bow...not so good.

I have killed rabbits over small beagles, who trail the bunnies, making them move intermittently...good for bows.

I have not yet killed a pheasant over my dog (pointer), but have gotten wing or tail feathers often enough.

It can be done
