A couple of weeks ago, Greg and Todd asked about the connection between Bob and John. I told Greg and Todd that I would send an email to John about his connection with Bob Swinehart. Tonight, I got this email back.

“I never met him in person, had correspondence with him and built him a take-down
left-handed longbow.”

I wonder where that longbow is today?

Hey guys,  Bob Swinehart was actually my father and I may have this bow somewhere.  No promises but feel free to email me MoltenSignage@gmail.com.  I inherited much of his equipment and would sell some of it to those who appreciate his legacy.

I had some communication with Craig Ekin recently and showed him the pics below of a bow I have.  Its a lefty and Craig said by looking at the pic that John Schulz made it for Bob in the 70's. Didn't immediately see that it was a takedown, but perhaps it is and just didn't realize in the quick minutes I spent with the bow.  Wish I shot lefty, would be interesting to see how it shoots 50 years later.  It has Howard Hill written on one limb and Redman on the other.  The other bow seemed like a very heavy bow when I picked it up.  I no way did I feel comfortable trying to string it due to the thick lams and 50 year old string, just seemed like something designed for a rhino.  Speculating here.  Nothing was written on that bow.
