Last few seasons around my place have been so cold and snowy that the birds don't get going till after the season closes. I will have to hunt another lower area of WY or go to Nebraska.

Mid April for us. Have only tried bow hunting them a few times, (unsuccessfully) but I hope to give it more effort this season.

I hope to. Our season in Ok. opens in about a month. Have not hunted them much in the past with longbow, will be tough I'm sure. I did buy a blind just for spring gobbler.
Bartlesville Ok.

I don't like to be high, low, left, or right.

Opens here sometime in April.  I better look it up! [redface]   Went on a little walk the other day in an area I like to hunt.  Still a lot of snow and not turkey track one yet.  No pictures, forgot to take a camera!

March 30th here. I dont know squat about hunting turkeys, and have never tried it. I'm hoping to give it a whirl this year. Going scouting on my motorcycle tomorrow to see if I can find any.

New to archery and hunting. It’s got me hooked so bad that I’m going to give turkeys a whirl for my first hunt just so I can get out there.

Turkeys are usually tough, especially with a bow. Be sure to smell the roses and enjoy the whole hunt, not just the need for a kill.

Chuckc,
You're right, I always smell the roses and enjoy the hunt be it turkey, deer, squirell or whatever. I take a good book, sit in my blind, call once in awhile and try to stay awake. Relaxing!
Bartlesville Ok.

I don't like to be high, low, left, or right.

April 14th in NC. First time turkey and we get 2 tags. So for the first tag it will be the shotgun and the recurve for the 2nd!

April 15th to the end of May.  We have a small population of Easterns about 1.5 hrs from here, Rios in SE WA and Merriams in several counties.   Here is a map you might find interesting.
