So a friend cleaning out family members home found this older ELB. From length I would say women's or youth. Anybody know anything about York archery?

It looks like the bow that was used in School archery programs back in the 40's thru the late 50's. Most high schools during that time had archery for the girls in P.E. and York sold a lot of bow to schools. Just noticed the string nocks are cast aluminum, so closer to the late 50's than the 40's

York was in business in the early years and made bows for target. I don't recall owning one. I was an early fan of Howard Hill and Northwest Archery when old enough to drive. Here is a link.  Look at the cars in the lot.

Thanks guys I told him probably lemon wood it was to clean for yew. I thought thirty or fortyish on age. Now I know closer to 50
