Family went to the beach this weekend. I volunteered to stay home and watch the dogs. So, here’s my first time finishing some wood arrows. Surewood Douglas fir 55/60 shafts, 28.25” w/145 grain points, and 4” feathers. I stained with a water based stain and brushed on a few coats of water based poly acrylate because that’s what I had on hand. I bought a can of flat white rustoleum 2x. Fitted a shoebox with holes, slid the shafts through the holes. I used a piece of tape on the shaft to try and keep it neat. Gave them another coat of poly. They fly really well and I like shooting them more than carbons and aluminum.
