This little guy has form and focus.

I want to thank his parents for sharing the photo with us.

This month we’re doing a segment of kids in archery. Send me pictures to be featured on our page.

In a few years his arrows will be tipped with sharp broadheads. .

Great photo;
I would like to point out, if parents want their children to get involved in archery and stay there, give them arrows that fit the child and his bow. Nothing discourages a child faster than not being able to hit the target. using dad's hand me downs is not the way to go. For a child that age you can make arrows from 1/4" dowels from Lowe's. In fact get him involved and let him fletch his own, that will give him the satisfaction of doing it him self. My youngest son was making his own arrows when he was 8 years old, and very proud of what he was doing. These youngsters are the future of this sport.

Darren can you use the pictures already posted in the other post about future generation?

Agree Bob best thing I did stop giving my daughter and wife grandkids my hand me downs.

Bob, That’s a good point you’ve made. Could you make another post with the title, Making Kids Arrows, I think it would be very helpful.

Jack,

I will use all the pictures. I’ve received so many pictures from parents of their kids and grandkids shooting I can post one picture a day for 2 months. It’s great to see these kids shooting.

What Bob said about the arrows. I saw many a kid with dad’s old arrows and the frustration on their faces because the arrows were to heavy and fell in front of target. I made sure my kids had the proper arrows, wood, aluminum and finally carbon. Still make my son’s arrows. He is 46 years old.
