Mr. Ira Blair TAS Honoree for 2020

A few weeks ago I asked TAS members to send in their nomination for this year's Honoree Member. TAS operates a website/forum, Instagram page, and a TAS Facebook group for our members. This year's honoree received nominations through all our channels of social media.

After tallying up all the entries, I pleased to announce the 2020 TAS Honoree is Mr. Ira Blair (Ugly Coyote).

Mr. Ira Blair has been involved archery for many decades. He has written articles for the Longbow Digest, and he was close friends with the magazine owners Harvey and CarolAnne Overshiner.

Ira was close friends with Hugh Rich, Editor of Archery magazine. Ira worked Hugh for several years assisting him with his archery collection. Together, they inventoried, described, and cataloged 216 bows, 122 books, a set of bound Archery magazines, and assorted arrows and tackle. All of that is in the NFAA museum in Yankton, South Dakota.

Over the past several years Ira has shared many archery and bowhunting topics on the website http://www.traditionalarcherysociety.com

Congratulations!

I sent Ira a message 18 hours ago congratulating him. I haven’t heard back yet I hope he’s doing fine. I hope he’s doing fine and just taking this time to write his acceptance speech. 😉

Normally, I would be quick with a, hopefully, witty response, a quick quip, a snappy reply, however, this time I am at a loss for words.

So, I will simply say, most humbly and with much gratitude...

THANK YOU!
